Kuzey Atlantik Antlaşması Örgütü-NATO

North Atlantic Treaty Organization NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) is a defense cooperation organization based on the North Atlantic Treaty signed in Washington, DC by 12 countries on April 4, 1949  . Although Nato is defined as a military cooperation organization, Nato also includes political cooperation, as demonstrated by the Parliamentary Assembly.

The Berlin Blockade of the Soviet Union led to the establishment of the Western European Union’s Defense Organization in September 1948. After the 1948 Czechoslovakian military coup, a common military strategy had to be developed between the Western countries. The Member States have agreed that they will consider an armed attack against any member to be made to all members.
